Why You Should Experiment with Content Style

When starting out on social media, a brand must find their voice. What are they passionate about, what resonates with their ideal buyer, what values do they want to portray. Sometimes it may take a little practice. So, why does experimenting with content matter?

When finding your identity and branding on social media, it is important to test what style and voice makes the most sense coming from your voice. Oftentimes, businesses hop on every viral sound and trend that their own individuality gets lost in the mix of videos. TikTok works its magic in so many ways and brings a variety of product viral, however, that is not something any services or marketing guru can plan to do. Many factors will comprise of if something goes viral or not. It starts with individuality and a uniqueness that only you can convey.

why content creation matters

Is your point of view unique to your own social media brand?

Of course, there is a luck factor in going viral. But also it is consistency, originality and using those viral sounds and audio. Why I recommend brands to experiment is with the goal to find that voice loud enough and unique to their brand. Yes, it is important to use trending audio and features. However, sustainability relies on being consistent and showing up every day as your authentic self. I have tried (and deleted, and failed) many different tones and content with my brand. GRWM (Get ready with Me), Vlog (video blogging), day in my life are all things I encourage my clients to try. What works for one brand/individual may be completely different for another brand.

By experimenting, you may see a huge swing in content views and likes. This will also swing vastly depending on your social media platform. But, more on that later. For now, get to experimenting. And remember, we all have to start somewhere!
